Tettenhall College

Co-ed Aged 2 to 18 Years Old

Founded in 1863, Tettenhall College is a non-selective independent, day and boarding school for 2-18-year olds situated in the picturesque village of Tettenhall on the outskirts of Wolverhampton. We provide an exceptional pupil centred learning environment for boys and girls with both day pupils and boarders mixing in an inclusive, vibrant community. The emphasis is on an education that develops the whole person both in and beyond the classroom with exceptional extra-curricular opportunities that complement a rigorous academic environment.

Life skills and preparation for life beyond school are important elements of the educational offering here and this permeates from Nursery through to Sixth Form. It is especially apparent in the new 6th Form Centre with dedicated facilities for independent study and recreation to support older pupils in the transition to higher education and employment.

Pupils achieve beyond expectations both in the Preparatory School and the Senior School, and they leave as well- rounded, confident young adults ready to face the challenges ahead. Students continue their education at good universities as well as gaining places at specialised institutions such as RADA or prestigious industrial placements with businesses.

The School has come a long way since its foundation over 150 years ago by local industrialists. Yet the traditional values and the wonderful historic setting remain the same. The college is a secure and happy environment and pupils and staff are proud of their School. There is always a warm welcome for visitors and the student’s confidence not only in themselves but in what they offer is infectious. In addition, a Chinese guardian fluent in both Cantonese and Mandarin is available.
