Yehudi Menuhin School is a well-known professional music boarding school located in Surrey, a suburb of London. This school was founded in 1963 by the late British Jewish Lord Baron Yehudi Menuhin, the greatest violinist of the 20th century. It is known as the "cradle of musical genius". It provides a good learning and living environment for young people from all over the world with musical talents, as well as top-notch music teachers. It shows that these children pursue a love for music, develop their musical potential, and reach the highest level of performance. The school has trained many internationally renowned national pianists Kathryn Stott, Lu Siqing, violinist Tasmin Little and many other musicians.

There are only 84 students in this school, and it provides comprehensive music education for "geniuses" aged 8-18. It recruits students from all over the world every year. All students are students specializing in music, and spend half of their time studying each day and half of their time art practice. It is worth mentioning that each student's major is taught by a fixed teacher, and the ratio of teachers to students here is one to one, because the number of admissions is indeed very small every year.

In the British college entrance examination (A-levels), 50% of the students got A* and 77% of the students got A*-A. The British Government Ministry of Education Music and Dance Scholarship (MDS) subsidizes overseas students who have lived for two years
The school is a private school with a full boarding fee (2020/21) of 44,208 pounds per year and 43,068 pounds per year for day students. The fee package Include all tuition fees (academic and music), all boarding and food fees, and the cost of participating in all concert tours organized by the school.
However, the Music and Dance Scheme of the Ministry of Education of the British Government provides fees for students who have lived in the UK for at least two years of funding. According to the current rules of the UK Ministry of Education, overseas students who have lived in the UK or boarded at school for two years or more are also eligible receive a grant from the plan. Yehudi Menuhin School Suggested Application Timetable
1. Please submit the application at least one year ago (the sooner the better, the Year 11 Year 13 application is generally not accepted) Apply before the end of October, and pass the first stage of the academic performance test. An audition will be arranged between January and March of the following year ( Audition) and interviews.
2. Application for spare parts: registration form, English transcript, English learning certificate, recommendation letter from music teacher, work (video)

There is no hard and fast rule to choose two musical instruments (but it is recommended to choose a minor if the entrance will)
